Melton Mowbray Food Festival is one of the largest regional food festivals in the country, set in the heart of the traditional market town known as the UK’s Rural Capital of Food. 2015 is the 12th annual Melton Mowbray Food Festival and once again, visitors will enjoy a huge selection of edible delights from some of the country’s finest producers, many from the East Midlands. Around 150 exhibitors will be showcasing their produce at the Festival and this year, visitors can sample not only the local, traditional Melton Mowbray Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese, but also a range of delicious foods such as stunning  artisan cheeses, gold-infused bubbly, steamed puddings, chocolate kebabs, gourmet British game, locally-brewed ales and many, many more. With places to pause, eat and drink, the Festival is just the perfect day out for everyone from the serious foodie to the happy browser! Better still, why not make a weekend of it and explore the many places of interest and things to see and do in the area.
